Rename a delivery method

To show a delivery method under a new name at checkout, create a delivery function of the rename type. You enter the current name and the new one, and choose the conditions under which the new name shows.

Create the function

1. In the app, go to Delivery Function and click Create Delivery Function.

   

2. Under Shopify Script Method, select Rename.

3. In Delivery Function title, enter a name that helps you find the function later, for example Rename XYZ Delivery Method. Customers don't see it.

   

Enter the old and new names

1. Under Rename delivery methods, next to From, choose a match type: Contains or Is.

2. In Search Delivery Method, enter the current name of the delivery method.

3. Next to To, enter the new name in Enter delivery method name.

4. To rename more delivery methods, click Add Delivery Method and repeat.

   

The match types work like this:

• Contains: the delivery method is renamed if any word you enter matches its name.
• Is: you enter the exact name of the delivery method.

Set when they're renamed

The delivery methods are renamed only when the conditions you set here are met.

1. Under Delivery Rules, choose all conditions or any condition.

2. Choose a rule type in Select Rule type and a condition in Select Rule Condition, then enter the value. Click Add Conditions to add more.

3. Click Save.

   

• all conditions: the delivery method is renamed only if every condition is met.
• any condition: the delivery method is renamed if any one of the conditions is met.

If it doesn't work

• The name doesn't match. With Is, the name next to From must be the exact name of the delivery method. With Contains, check that the word you entered is part of its name.
• The conditions aren't met. With all conditions, the cart has to meet every condition, not just one.
